I wanted to start this blog to share the story of my family coping with the amputation of our dogs leg. I am a stay at home mom to 3 beautiful children. My oldest daughter Makayla is 8. My middle daughter Emily is 4. My son Gavin is 2. My husband Brian and I have been together for 12 years. We bought Harley, our 6 year old Shetland Sheepdog, from a pet store when he was 7 weeks old. He has been a wonderful member of our family. Most people say he is blessed to have us, but they are wrong. We are blessed to have him! We have all been through a lot over the past few months, most of all Harley. We are praying for a speedy recovery and are looking forward to a long, happy, and healthy future together!
